Privacy Policy - FAA Part 107

This Privacy Policy explains how Antonio Ortiz (“we”, “us”) handles information in connection with the mobile application Part 107 Prep: FAA Drone Test (the “App”).

The short version

Part 107 Prep does not require an account, does not ask for your name or email address, and does not run advertising or third-party analytics. Your study history stays on your device. We cannot see your answers, your scores or your Exam Readiness Score.

1. Information we do not collect

We do not collect, and the App does not transmit to us:

• Your name, email address, postal address or telephone number
• Account credentials of any kind — the App has no sign-in
• Payment card numbers or billing details
• Your precise or approximate location
• Contacts, photos, microphone or camera data
• Advertising identifiers (IDFA). The App does not display advertising and does not track you across other apps or websites.

2. Information stored on your device

To make the App work, the following is saved locally on your device only:

• Your answers to practice questions and mock exams
• Per-topic accuracy, your study streak and your Exam Readiness Score
• Your onboarding choices, such as your target exam date and self-reported experience level
• Whether you hold an active subscription or lifetime purchase

This data never leaves your device except through mechanisms you control, such as an encrypted iCloud or iTunes backup of your phone. You can erase all of it at any time from Settings → Reset all progress inside the App, or by deleting the App.

3. Purchases

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never see or receive your payment card details, your Apple Account password or your billing address.

When you buy a subscription or the Lifetime option, Apple provides the App with a transaction receipt confirming that a purchase exists and whether it is still valid. We use that solely to unlock the paid features.

Apple's handling of your purchase is governed by Apple's own privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy.

4. Subscription management provider

We use RevenueCat, Inc. to validate purchase receipts and manage subscription status across devices. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives a randomly generated anonymous identifier, your country, your device platform and the details of the transaction. It does not receive your name, your email address or your payment details, and we do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.

5. Analytics and advertising

The App contains no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK. We do not build profiles of users and we do not sell or share personal information with anyone for advertising purposes.

Apple may provide us with aggregate, anonymised statistics through App Store Connect — such as how many devices downloaded the App or the number of crashes. These reports do not identify individual users, and they are generated by Apple, not by code in the App.

6. Children

Part 107 Prep is a professional certification study aid intended for people preparing for the FAA Remote Pilot knowledge test. The FAA requires applicants to be at least 16 years old. The App is not directed to children under 13, and because it collects no personal information at all, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children of any age.

7. How long data is kept

Because your study data is stored only on your device, it is retained until you delete it. Resetting your progress in Settings erases it immediately. Deleting the App removes it along with the App's storage.

Purchase records held by Apple, and by RevenueCat if used, are retained according to those companies' own policies.

8. Security

Your study data is stored inside the App's private container, which iOS isolates from other applications and protects with device-level encryption when you have a passcode set. Any network communication the App makes — for retrieving prices and validating purchases — uses encrypted HTTPS connections.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Your rights

We do not hold personal information about you, so in most cases there is nothing for us to retrieve, correct or delete on your behalf. You remain in full control of the data on your device.

If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the GDPR gives you rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability. You may exercise them by contacting us at the address below. Where we do process limited data, our lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you (delivering the purchased features) and our legitimate interest in preventing fraudulent purchases.

If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you the right to know what personal information is collected, to request deletion, to correct inaccurate information and to opt out of sale or sharing. We do not sell or share personal information, and we have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

10. International transfers

If you use the App outside the country where our service providers operate, information relating to your purchase may be processed in the United States or other countries. Those providers apply appropriate safeguards for such transfers.

11. Links to other services

The App links to Apple's subscription management page and to our own Terms of Use. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of sites we do not operate.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the current version. Material changes will be announced in the App or in the App Store release notes.
