Privacy Policy RBT Prep

This Privacy Policy explains how RBT Prep (the "App") handles information. The App is published by Antonio Ortiz ("we", "us"). You can reach us at ortizrojas_bnk@hotmail.com.

The short version: we do not ask you for a name, an email address or an account, and your study data never leaves your device. The only information that reaches a third party is what Apple and our payment provider need in order to process a purchase.

1. Information we do not collect

The App has no sign-up, no login and no user accounts. We do not collect, and cannot see:

  • Your name, email address, phone number or postal address
  • Your location
  • Your contacts, photos, camera, microphone or health data
  • Your answers, scores, streaks, flashcard progress or exam date

We do not use analytics or advertising software, and we do not show ads.

2. Information stored on your device

Everything the App remembers about your studying is stored locally on your iPhone, in the App's own storage, and is never transmitted to us. That includes your answers and scores, your streak and daily activity, your mastery per domain and task code, your saved and missed questions, your flashcard schedule, your exam date and your notification preferences.

This data is removed when you delete the App. It may be included in an encrypted iCloud or iTunes backup of your device if you have backups enabled; that backup is controlled by you and by Apple, not by us.

3. Purchases

Purchases are processed by Apple. We never see or receive your payment card, your Apple Account credentials or your billing address.

To know whether you have an active subscription, the App uses RevenueCat, Inc., a subscription infrastructure provider acting as our data processor. When you make or restore a purchase, RevenueCat receives:

  • A randomly generated, anonymous app user identifier created on your device
  • The App Store transaction receipt for your purchase
  • Basic technical information such as your device model, operating system version, App version and country

This information is used for one purpose only: to determine whether your subscription or lifetime purchase is active, on this device and on any other device where you sign in with the same Apple Account. It is not linked to your real identity and it is not used to track you across other apps or websites.

4. Notifications

Study reminders, streak reminders and exam countdown alerts are local notifications. They are scheduled by the App on your device and are never sent from a server. We have no push notification service and therefore no device push token. You are asked for notification permission only after you complete your first test, and you can turn every notification type off individually inside the App, or all of them in iOS Settings.

5. Tracking

The App does not track you. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA), we do not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, and we do not share any information with data brokers or advertising networks.

6. Children

RBT Prep is a professional certification study aid intended for adults preparing for the Registered Behavior Technician examination. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under 13 years of age. Because the App collects no personal information at all, no such information can be collected inadvertently.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or similar laws to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you.

We hold no personal data about you. The study data on your device is entirely under your control: delete the App and it is gone. For the anonymous purchase records held by RevenueCat and Apple, write to ortizrojas_bnk@hotmail.com and we will help you make the request, though you will normally need to provide the anonymous identifier or the transaction in question so that it can be located.

We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined by the CCPA.

8. Data retention and security

We retain no personal data, so there is nothing for us to delete or to lose. Purchase records held by RevenueCat and Apple are retained according to their own policies and applicable accounting and tax law. Data in transit to RevenueCat is encrypted using HTTPS.

9. International transfers

RevenueCat and Apple process data on servers that may be located outside your country, including in the United States. Those transfers are governed by their respective privacy policies and the safeguards they put in place.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a way that affects you, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, note it in the App's release notes. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated policy.
